Michael is a Graduate in English from Delhi University with a Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur. He has 27 years of corporate experience in Human Resources, OD and Employee Talent Development. His last assignment was at STAR TV as the National Head of HR & L&D for India.
Among the various awards he has received, the last one being the first person in HR in Star TV Asia and first person in Star TV India to receive Worldwide Gold Star Employee award for his outstanding contribution to the company.
Trying to club his expertise in boxes would be difficult; however he enjoys working on effecting change through long term interventions on overall Organization Development, apart from working with both Existing Senior Leaders as well as Potential Leaders. Michael is an ardent believer that Organizations’ operating with a high degree of commonly demonstrated “Beliefs” and “Values”, can differentiate themselves in today’s highly competitive environment. Companies that maximize this potential can get the best out of their employees.
His free time is with his family. He likes to get away when he can. He loves the highways and will often be found in the higher regions in the mountains, matching his wit and skills fishing for the elusive Trout (catch and release, is his policy) or simply sitting in a peaceful place in the mountains on his own. Adventure sports may get the better of him at times but one thing is for sure, STEP is always on his mind.

There is a lot that can be said about his brilliance and competence, however all we will say is he “shone bright” with his humor, playfulness and fun that he brought to the workplace. You couldn’t help but love the guy.
His interests were in music, sports such as basketball, table tennis, and badminton. He also enjoyed travelling to new destinations. His spirit and attitude was infectious. We constantly try to live up to the standards he set.
